Sailing the Algarve / Portugal!

But you feel rather shy of sailing through the English Channel and Bay of Biscay?

The professional NautiSail delivery crew sail your ship in the spring to the beautiful Ria´s in the northwestern part of Spain, and you sail by yourself in your holiday with family or friends along the beautiful coast to the Portuguese Algarve, possibly as a participant in the flotilla organized by us.

The trip:

The distance from IJmuiden to the Algarve is approximately 1300 nm.
Depending on the type of the yacht and the weather you should expect a duration of 14 days.
But then you have to sail day and night, at most a stopover in Plymouth or Falmouth.
That is not to everyone or one has not the appropriate crew.
A professional delivery crew for the whole distance quotes including the costs quickly € 4.000, - which can be quite pricey.

We have therefore developed a plan for a delivery of your yacht with professional crew through the English Channel and Bay of Biscay to NW Spain, so that the difficult part of the journey is already behind and in your own holiday enjoy the Spanish Ria and the beautiful Portuguese coast.
For yacht owners, who wish, we organize from NW Spain to the Algarve a flotilla, so you will be supported the second part of the journey you make.

Arrived in the Algarve, you can book a berth for your boat.
You can then in the winter of 2012/2013 a few times on your boat enjoying the spring-like winter weather on the Algarve.
Perhaps you even have a year added to remain at the Algarve or continue to sail the Mediterranean.
And if you like to return back to the Netherlands in the spring of 2013, NautiSail is happy to serve you with this.

Preparation:

Each participant will receive an information map after registration.
In it you will find all things related to equipment, information about the sailing, marinas and moorings.
In addition, an information meeting will be held.

Support:

When participating in the flotilla you will sail in trips to the Algarve and you will have time for visiting Porto and Lisbon.
The flotilla leader during the trip, is in contact with you VHF and cellphone.
In the ports you will be nautically informed for the following tour.

Itinerary:

The deliveries take place from April till in June 2012;
The date of departure of the flotilla was provisionally set at Monday, July 23, 2012;
Arrival in the Algarve August 1, 2012
